Three Trees is a team of lifelong learners, whom we support with ongoing in-house training, support and online webinars, provided by the experts at 4E’s Consulting. When you join our team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow professionally through ongoing professional development and mentoring.
Three Trees is committed to staff wellbeing and balance. We maintain excellent ratios, and provide our team members with a delicious and healthy lunch each day. We value our kaiako and their time, so full staff meetings are paid and include dinner! We also offer regular non-contact time weekly for paperwork and administration to be completed during normal working hours.

Three Trees Learning Centre is a home away from home for many families in the Rolleston area. The amazing outdoor areas for children to explore and delight in change constantly throughout the year and this is what originally attracted me to Three Trees. I have continued to develop my career whilst learning in a supportive and caring team. Three Trees offers their families high teacher to child ratios and an on site chef who provides wonderful meals for all children and staff. Providing learning spaces for specific age and stages helps children to thrive in their environment. We love to have fun with the children and engage with our local community regularly.
Since joining the Three Trees learning Centre team in April 2019 I have enjoyed being part of a team who works collaboratively to meet the care and learning needs of the tamariki in our care. I love the outdoors nature focus of the centre’s philosophy and living that philosophy in all weathers makes each day rewarding for me. Being alongside children who are happily engaged in nature has been so energizing for my own teaching practice. The Three Trees environment, both inside and out is one that is calm and welcoming to work in. Being part of a team that I can continue to learn from is important to me and I have found this to be the be the case at Three Trees, with my practice professionally challenged on a regular basis. Alongside this being a valued team member where my experience is recognised so that I can support and guide other teachers to grow their practice has been something I appreciate.
I love coming to work everyday, working alongside others who have the passion to share their knowledge and wisdom of RIE with others, which I am grateful for this immensely. I love sharing my knowledge that I have gained over the many years of working in the ECE sector, with others especially with parents who might need some ideas, advice, or a positive sounding board. With being a Rolleston local, it is great being part of a centre who is keen to be involved in the community, with having the chance to explore out major asset of Foster Park and surrounding places. It is fabulous to work in a centre where the owners and management treat you with respect, give you opportunities to develop professionally and have the opportunity to have a mentor just a phone call away.
